We organise regular workshops with our local and national partners. These workshops are meant to help the students acquire the apt skill set and aptitude by providing hands on opportunities in learning in a non-formal set up.

Meraki Portfolio Consultancy in association with Ananta Trust, organised Friday market mashup workshop, where our instructor, Ar. Priyank Shah, took up a batch of underpriviled kids to the Friday Market popularly known as the ‘Shukravari’ and identified a bunch of interesting pieces of scrap and with the help of a few technicians, guided the students to come up with interesting, quirky pieces of sculpture from the scratch.

Workshop
Meraki Portfolio Consultancy in association with MSU,Baroda held a workshop on Furniture Design. The workshop aimed at understanding and designing of the fundamental furniture element i.e. a chair. Chair being said as a furniture element, forms an essential and integral part of spatial planning. Thus, the workshop provided the understanding of factors influencing the design process which include: user, function, ergonomics, anthropometry and material.
Meraki Portfolio Consultancy in association with Parul Institute of Architecture and Research held a workshop on digital fabrication. The participating students were introduced to the various digital tools from softwares to fabrication. In a two day workshop, the students came up with multiple prototypes of digitally fabricated furniture.
Meraki Portfolio Consultancy, in association with Navrachna International School (NISV), where kids of senior K.G, paid a visit to a fastfood cafe project by Meraki Design Studio to understand the concept of upcycling waste materials.The visit was later on followed by a workshop with the students in which they made innovative and interesting pieces of art using day to day scrap they had gotten from their respective homes.
Meraki Portfolio Consultancy in association with Institute of Fashion Technology, MSU, Baroda, held a three day socio-centric workshop named Urban Cobbler. The idea behind which was to help a local cobbler relocate to a new spot, earlier a bus stop, which was then revamped by the participating students of the dept. of Fashion Communication and turned into a contemporary space to attract more customers and assist the chosen cobbler in increasing business. In the workshop, the students came up with various innovative ideas and techniques to refurbish the bus stop into a more appealing and quirky location.
